Keeping Cool
I completely didn’t expect to find a paper towel wrapped around Prince’s neck when I glanced at him. I was sitting next to my boyfriend while we were watching a movie but I didn’t notice him tying it on the dog as it sat on his lap. It was hilarious because Prince didn’t resist at all; I think the paper towel cape suits him.
This weekend was low-key. I went to a Georgia Tech tailgating but my friend and I didn’t go to the game. We just went for the beer and just to catch up with her friend from Maryland. I have never done so many football-related activities until I moved here; I think I’ll be doing a lot more for better or worse.
I liked this passage I read in Ecclesiastes 7 today. I’ve always had the problem of falling into extremes and this was a reminder of keeping balance:
Do not be overrighteous,
neither be overwise—
why destroy yourself?
17 Do not be overwicked,
and do not be a fool—
why die before your time?
18 It is good to grasp the one
and not let go of the other.
Whoever fears God will avoid all extremes.
People aren’t perfect, but I think there is always room for improvement.
